Post Insect repellency & cats
A pal of mine in Pennsylvania, tick capital of the US, was talking about them on Facebook and I suggested she and her husband might try your anti-insect range. She's interested, but has read that the active ingredient is not good for cats either, and they have a cat...

Are there any issues beyond the cat might not want to sit on one's lap if you were wearing Trailblazers?

Pete.

Hi Pjclinch,

Thanks for your post.

The active ingredient in Insect Sheild is permethrin, which is a synthetic chemical that acts like natural extracts from the chrysanthemum flower.

Although premethrins are very safe to most mammals, it can be sensitive to cats but usually only if they are exposed to the high concentration of permethrin typically found in some spot-on products, which are designed to control fleas and ticks on dogs.

Please be assured, there should be no cause for concern with this treatment.

For your reference, I have also forwarded some further information which may be of interest, directly to your email address.

I hope this information has been helpful.

Warm Regards
Charlotte
