Post Restoring water repellency in Barricade fabric
Simple question - on the garment care label of my jacket made with barricade fabric it says to cool tumble dry to restore water repellency - do you need to wash it first and cool tumble dry from wet, or can you just bung the dry garment in the tumble dryer?

Post Re: Restoring water repellency in Barricade fabric
Hi man_beach,

As the washing process helps to clear dirt from the pores of the fabric, we recommend washing the garment on cool (30 degrees) with a liquid non-biological detergent prior to cool tumbling the item. This will then restore water repellency as well as ensuring the garment remains breathable.

Do let us know if we can offer further guidance.

Warm regards,
Cherelle
